Guadalupe

On a recent trip to New Mexico, I walked by a store downtown in Santa Fe called “Guadalupe’s Fun Rubber Stamps” (http://stampafe.com/shop). The store was closed, but I was there the next morning waiting for them to open! One of the stamps I bought was the one I used to create the card shown below. The StampaFe rubber stamp line reflects the quirky nature of New Mexico, and the stamps are all made in Santa Fe. I love to buy rubber stamps that are made in the USA! This card pulled together quickly. I used a sheet of watercolor paper, a few watercolor pencils and my AquaBrush to create the striped layered background. After the paper was dry, I stamped the Guadalupe with black ink on to the paper, trimmed it out, added a lime colored mat, then adhered to a card base. Diamond Dust Stickles were added to the angel wings for a little sparkle. The whole process took less than a half an hour and I love the way it turned out. I’m so happy I got this rubber stamp with the namesake of the store that I bought it at. I couldn’t have picked a better souvenir for myself!
