Hi! My name is Diane and I live in sunny South Florida – otherwise known as paradise! I enjoy making cards and tags, rubber stamping, and scrapbooking. Card making gives me such a sense of accomplishment, mostly because of the instant gratification. I think I would describe my crafting style as updated traditional with little layers of detail and lots of color.
I’ve always loved crafting. As a kid, one of my favorite classes at school was art. As soon as I’d get home from school, I would turn the TV on to the channel with Gilligan’s Island. Then I’d break out my pack of construction paper, crayons, glue, and scissors and sit in front of the TV and duplicate what we learned in art class. When I was in 3rd grade I made a mosaic of a panda on bamboo, using a paint by number picture as inspiration. I took all the colored paper I had and tore it into tiny little bits, then sorted the pieces by color. It took lots of hours and patience to glue those little torn pieces of construction paper onto the base. Taking that art project made up of only of paper and a bottle of Elmer’s glue to school and showing my teacher is still memorable to me – even though it was decades ago!
I started this blog to share my love of paper crafting with others, especially my friends and family. I believe we can strengthen relationships and make a difference in the lives of others by sharing creativity and worthwhile accomplishments.
As Albert Einstein once said…”Creativity is contagious, pass it on!” Thanks for checking out my page and make it a great day.
