Happy National Scrapbook Day!

For my papercrafting friends…if you’d like to take on a challenge, please visit this link for more info: http://operationwritehome.org/may-odbd-challenge/

The Our Daily Bread Designs challenge for May is to use Embossing on your card. It can be either dry or wet embossing, or both. This is a gift card holder designed to look like a coffee “to-go” cup that I’ve made many times. I have quite a few (well, maybe more, lots more!) embossing folders and I always change it up when I make these, so it feels like it’s different every time. Both the coffee cup and the lid are embossed. I am going to submit this project for the challenge.

Have a great Saturday – whether you are crafting, chillin’, or watching the Kentucky Derby!

One caramel frappachino, please.

I loved making this gift card holder! It’s a great way to use scrap paper, and your favorite embossing folders too. The lid, cup, and cup wrapper are all embossed paper. A small glue dot attached to the gift card keeps it in place and makes it easy to remove.  The coffee mug stamp is from the Morning Cup stamp set. I didn’t quite cut out the shape of the lid the way I wanted to, but it’s one of those things that is just trial & error… enjoy!

P.S. Thanks for the chai tea latte yesterday, Myra!

I think it’s time to break out another stamp set to play with…it’s a new month and with that comes a new set of ideas.
