Witch-ing you a happy Halloween!

This time of year is such a fun time to do crafting! I got together with a couple of friends and we spent the day making Halloween cards, wooden tags, and display pieces for Halloween decor. We used all kinds of ephemera, embellishments, paint and ribbon. Most of the products used were Idea-ology/Tim Holtz. I love Tim’s unique designs that have a vintage feel. Here are a few of the pieces I made. Witch-ing you a happy Halloween!

Jeepers Creepers

Here is my latest design team project for Eat Cake Graphics. When I first saw this haunted house stamp, I wanted to color the “stripes” on the house the colors of a candy corn…but I decided to go with a violet color instead. It was a simple card, I just stamped, embossed, colored, matted, and attached with pop dots to a card base. I added an orange moon above the roof by punching out a 1″ circle and using the negative paper as a moon “template”. A sponge was used to swirl in the ink color inside the circle. I have a sentiment stamp “Jeepers Creepers” that I think fits the card perfectly. I stamped the sentiment, cut it to size and stapled it on. Stardust Stickles was added for a little bling on the rooftop. And there you have it!

Wicked!

Yes, I know it’s December and I should be posting some pretty Christmas cards, but I couldn’t resist showing you this fun wicked witch!  I made a few Halloween cards using the “Wicked” stamp set from Close to my Heart.  I stamped the witch on solid paper, on vintage sheet music, and on patterned paper and I loved the way she turned out on all of them. And… I love the sentiment too! Stay tuned for some holiday cards & tags to be posted soon. Thanks for looking!
