Groovy

I love my hippie stamps! These tags were fun to make – the flower girl is from a set named ” Hippie Dottie” that was made by Totally Stampalicious (that went out of business about 5 years ago) and the dude is in the stamp set “Hippie” from Deep Red Stamps. I made these tags starting with stenciling on Ranger Inkssentials manila craft tags using Tim Holtz’s “Rays” stencil and distress inks.

I didn’t really have a layout plan on how I was putting the tags together, so I set the tags aside and began stamping and embossing the hippies and the Peace sentiment.  After coloring them (the fun part!) with Copic markers,  I decided to fussy cut them out and I used a punch instead of scissors for the sentiment.  Since I wanted to match the hippies to the tag, I stamped on Ranger Inkssentials Manila Card Stock so it would coordinate perfectly.

Dimensional foam dots were used to  attach the hippie cut-outs to the tags.  To finish the tags I added some hemp and a metal peace sign to embellish and a little bling.

Wishing you peace, love, & happiness!

vinTAGe

I was just going through some pictures on my phone and thought I would share this one with you! This tag was made using a vintage Betty Boop rubber stamp that I’ve had for probably 20 years. Ranger’s Manila Craft Tags are the perfect blank surface to stamp and use Tim Holtz Distress Inks on. The smooth finish is great for all types of mediums and the cardstock holds up well with ink & water. I made this card for my friend Dorine,  who I know loves vintage things as much as I do!

Wine bottle tag

Bottle_craft_002Just sharing a wine bottle tag that I made for someone special’s birthday (sending a shout out to Stephanie S!) I think it’s just too cute not to share!  I used the Totally Stampalicious stamp “Cafe Scarlette” and the sentiment from CTMH’s Piece of Cake stamp set. I wanted to use a pink & orange palette to make the birthday girl’s day bright and happy! A big thank you to my pal Bryn for taking the picture for me.
