You Deserve The Best Day Ever

Here is my first Design Team project for Eat Cake Graphics!

I loved using this rubber stamp design named “Auntie Daisy enjoys freedom”. I stamped Auntie Daisy on watercolor paper and used watercolor pencils to color her hair, skin, and flowers. I stamped the image a second time on pretty floral patterned paper, then used scissors to cut out the dress. After the dress was cut out, I glued it on over the first stamped watercolor image. I used Stickles (Stardust, my fave) to add a little sparkle to the flowers. For embellishments, I added a few paper flowers and some coordinating ribbon. The Top Note bigz die from Stampin’ Up was used to cut the tag shape.  I think the sentiment says it all…we all deserve to have the best day ever!

PSX Key West lighthouse rubber stamp
Cheers to Fred!

A shout out to my friend Adriana for taking this picture with her iPhone for me, since I haven’t quite gotten into the habit of taking photos of my paper craft projects. I have a camera case hanging on a door handle, ready to grab & use at any time, and I still manage to forget!

I love pulling out pretty designer paper from my stash, grabbing one of my favorite rubber stamps, and picking out Copic marker colors to coordinate with the project. This one-dimensional card was made to hang off of a wine bottle, with a tag that pulls out on the side. The Key West lighthouse stamp is an old PSX rubber stamp that is one of my favorites. I knew the recipient would appreciate it, since he loves the island in the Straits of Florida as much as I do!

Here are a few photos I did manage to take on a recent trip to Key West. Enjoy your day!

Wine bottle tag

Bottle_craft_002Just sharing a wine bottle tag that I made for someone special’s birthday (sending a shout out to Stephanie S!) I think it’s just too cute not to share!  I used the Totally Stampalicious stamp “Cafe Scarlette” and the sentiment from CTMH’s Piece of Cake stamp set. I wanted to use a pink & orange palette to make the birthday girl’s day bright and happy! A big thank you to my pal Bryn for taking the picture for me.
